This one-of-a-kind hand-painted fabric chair blends luxury eclectic style with functional art, featuring bold floral artwork, MacKenzie-Childs inspired checkerboard detailing, and layered artisan finishes throughout. Created using professional textile painting techniques that dye and transform the fabric rather than simply coat it, this artistic accent chair was designed to feel collected, expressive, and completely unique. Finished with Annie Sloan wax for durability and a rich worn-leather feel, this statement furniture piece brings dramatic color, texture, and personality into any creative interior, boutique space, or designer-inspired home.

Created using layered techniques inspired by the whimsical style of MacKenzie-Childs. I used textile chalk and clay mineral paint that works more like a dye, allowing the patterns and colors to become part of the fabric itself rather than simply sitting on the surface. The result is rich texture, depth, and movement that changes beautifully in different lighting.

The back rest of the chair features decoupage detailing, while the entire piece has been sealed with Annie Sloan oil-based wax for durability and protection. The finish gives the fabric a soft, worn-leather feel — not exactly leather, but similar in the way it softens and wears naturally over time. Like any artisan finish, the wax will continue to develop character with use, much like aged leather furniture.

Painted fabric is definitely an acquired taste, but it has become a favorite among many of my clients because no two pieces ever turn out the same. This chair is truly a conversation piece — bold, artistic, functional, and filled with personality.

I’ve spent the last week personally sitting in and testing the chair after completion to ensure the quality and durability of the finish, and I genuinely feel this piece still has many beautiful years ahead of it.

I intentionally photographed this piece in sunlight so you could really appreciate the texture and layered finish of the fabric. As an artist, I truly feel this turned into a luxury statement piece — functional art at its finest — and I’m excited to see who connects with it enough to bring it into their home.

***I intentionally did not seal the back (Chartreuse green) with wax yet. I can add a design detail custom to the buyer for an additional cost. Or we can leave it as is and I will seal it before shipping.

Shipping from the United States
Door to door delivery available to most US states. Full payment due upon pickup of your item. I use a white glove shipping service. The driver will bill you for the full cost of shipping and will be in contact with you for delivery arrangements. I have worked with the same driver for 5 years and he is great! All pieces are cared for to ensure a smooth delivery. Delivery times vary upon location.

Payments

We accept all credit and debit. Once you purchase an item I will contact you for pickup / delivery arrangements. Full payment is due before shipping is booked.

Layaway:

Layaway is a great way to hold an item. Items will remain available for purchase on our website until the first payment is received. Please contact me via text at 219-805-8447 or email at Leah@leahnoelldesignco.com to make layaway arrangements. Please read this policy in full before contacting.

30 Day layaway is available for items over $700 with a half down payment and the remainder due in 30 days.
60 day layaway is available for items over $1000 with a third of a payment down, 1/3 due at 30 days and the remainder due at 60 days. a $25 admin fee applied to first payment for 60 day layaway plan. Layaway payements are non refundable.
Layaway Policy:

We offer a 30-day and a 60-day layaway plans on select pieces. Layaway applies only to full price pieces and cannot be combined with any other offers.

***All payments must be received within the due dates and all payments are non-refundable. Non-payment or missed payments within the agreed-upon time frame/dates will result in a forfeit of any previous payments and the item(s) will be retained and resold by the seller. This is non-negotiable.***

Pieces sold by Leah Noell Design Co are unique in that they repurposed second hand furniture with an artisan finish. We sell a wide variety of antique, vintage, and second hand furniture. We take great pride in finding the best quality furniture from all eras. Furniture may have signs of age, wear, and imperfections. All pieces are hand painted with an artistic finish. Some imperfections are to be expected and increase the uniqueness of each piece. The inside of each piece is cleaned and conditioned. Details such as the edges and drawer sides are cleaned / painted. I use the best products available on the market to ensure a long lasting paint finish. The quality of my pieces has been noted by many repeat clients.
